procedure at the club. New divers (novices), crossovers and existing
divers can looked forward to being trained by some very experienced divers
who are qualified from the grades of Dive Leader to Advanced diver. |

Peterborough Sub-Aqua Club is, probably, fairly
uniquely positioned for facilities. We have exclusive use of
Peterborough Lido, where our club rooms and compressor are sited.
The use of the pool is ours from 8pm on a Monday from May to September, or
indeed any evening that we request after that time. In "closed"
months we have the use of various local indoor pools. |
|
Please click on the diver grade at the top of the
page for information of training relating to that grade. |

|
The BS-AC has recently introduced more modern training
plans bringing itself up-to-date with newer diving procedures and
technologies. All of our instructors are fully conversant with the
new schema. Training for all grades adheres to all the new
procedures and theories. |
| |
Open water training is also well catered for we are in
close proximity to Gildenburgh Water and also Stoney Cove is not that far
away from us. We own two RIBS to provide access to the sea for
training purposes. |
|
|
In addition to standard diver grade training we also
provide various additional courses such as Compressor Operator and Boat
Handling that help the diver to become a more proficient member of the
club. Other training including Skill Development Courses are supported by
the club and our members regularly attend these BS-AC National courses
relating to Instructor training, Photography, Marine Life Identification
etc. |
|
Divers crossing over from other agencies such as PADI,
SAA & CMAS are regularly welcomed to the club. The BS-AC provides us
with "Crossover-Charts" that enable us to immediately asses the correct
diver grade and any additional training required for the diver to become
fully skilled to that level within BS-AC. |
